Every icy tundra needs a MAMMOTH, even without its wooly coat!
(MAM•uth) Closely related to modern elephants, Mammoths of various types roamed the earth as recently as 5,000 years ago! The Mammoth's large skull contained its signature curving tusks as well as large attachment surfaces for the muscles and tendons used to control its trunk. Each jaw quadrant contained only a single large tooth which were used in upper and lower pairs to slowly grind its food. Learn More >
